Coconut, the natural source of STARSKIN bio-cellulose
The Source

What is bio-cellulose?

A sheet mask material made from naturally fermented coconut juice.

Bio-cellulose begins as vitamin-rich coconut juice. Through natural fermentation, the juice becomes a fine, translucent sheet with a soft, gel-like structure. Every STARSKIN® bio-cellulose mask is made of 100% coconut bio-cellulose, a professional grade biomaterial.

One material across the whole range. What sets each mask apart is its serum.

    FAQ

    What is bio-cellulose?

Bio-cellulose is a sheet mask material made from naturally fermented, vitamin-rich coconut juice. Fermentation turns the juice into a fine, translucent sheet with a soft, gel-like feel. Every STARSKIN® bio-cellulose mask is made of 100% coconut bio-cellulose, a professional grade biomaterial.

How is bio-cellulose different from a regular sheet mask?

Bio-cellulose contours closely to the face, settling around the eyes, nose and mouth with few folds or air pockets. The fit is close, flexible and slip-proof, so the mask stays in place and keeps the serum against your skin for the full treatment.

    Where does bio-cellulose come from?

Bio-cellulose was used in wound care long before it reached skincare, valued for how gently it sits against the skin and how closely it follows the body's contours. Those same qualities make it such a comfortable sheet mask material.

    Which STARSKIN® masks are bio-cellulose?

Our face masks Red Carpet Ready™, After Party™, Close-Up™, The Gold Mask™ and The Diamond Mask™, the Eye Catcher™ eye masks and the Dreamkiss™ lip mask are all made of coconut bio-cellulose.

Why does a bio-cellulose mask feel cool?

The gel-like structure of bio-cellulose feels cooling the moment it touches skin. For an even cooler feel, refrigerate the unopened sachet for 10 minutes before use.

How long should I leave a bio-cellulose mask on?

Leave face masks on for 15 to 20 minutes. Then remove the mask and gently pat the remaining serum into your skin. There is no need to rinse.
